In 1903 Ernest Daltroff bought Emilia Parfums and changed the name to Caron after seeing the famous daredevil acrobat. In 1904 he moved to Paris to 10 rue de la Paix and met Félicie Vanpouille a fashion designer and his lover. In 1922 he gave her half of the company shares. In 1941 he died in New York and Félicie became sole proprietor. In 1962, she married Mr Bergaud and sold the company to Parfums Révillon.
