established by Louis-Victor Révillon, son of a Count turned commoner on purchase of furrier's shop at 42 rue de la Boetie, Paris in 1839. Established fragrance division; bought Caron on the death of M. Daltroff in 1940, and acquired Millot in 1963.
Created by Maurice Shaller; an oriental floral chypre extract with citrus top notes; heart notes of cyclamen, rose, jasmine, lily and ylang-ylang; base notes of amber, patchouli, civet and musk.
